MONDRIAN BROOCH
MONDRIAN BROOCH
A composition of intersecting colour.
The Mondrian Brooch is a hand-cut leather statement brooch that draws on the distinct palette used by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, in his iconic abstract ‘Composition’ series.
This is an assertive, multidimensional piece - created by reconstructing a single strip of leather into a knotted composition of intersecting lines. Flashes of silver and gold are interspersed by Tania, with a (dis)array of primary coloured elements - set in relief by the black leather visible beneath.
This piece carries serious weight visually, while sitting featherlight on the garment. You may forget you are wearing it, but others will not.
