Leather knots crafted in Italian leather highlighted with colour; lightweight and versatile to wear.
A composition of intersecting colour.
The Mondrian Brooch is a hand-cut leather statement brooch that draws on the distinct palette used by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, in his iconic abstract ‘Composition’ series.
This is an assertive, multidimensional piece - created by reconstructing a single strip of leather into a knotted composition of intersecting lines. Flashes of silver and gold are interspersed by Tania, with a (dis)array of primary coloured elements - set in relief by the black leather visible beneath.
This piece carries serious weight visually, while sitting featherlight on the garment. You may forget you are wearing it, but others will not.

A contemporary entanglement.
The Knotted Up Brooch is a sculptural, hand-cut leather brooch. At once modern and demure, it reimagines a classic with an unconventional twist.
Lines of leather are precisely segmented into geometric elements and formed into fluid entwined loops, while the loose ends sweep away. Tania’s signature use of edge dye introduces a glimmering gold dimension with graphic definition.
The brooch is pinned with a single fixing. It is effortless to wear and sits featherlight on fabrics.

Traces of movement in leather, tipped in pearls.
The Knot a Pearl Brooch is a sculptural leather brooch tipped with teardrop pearls. Multidimensional and dynamic - this is ‘Knot’ a conventional pearl brooch.
This unconventional design is a study in material and motion. Layered leather strands intersect and extend from a central knot - the trajectory of the pearls traced as lines in leather. Tania crafts each one by hand, the elements consistent, but the form deliberately unique.
Darkly polished black leather is set against the lustre of freshwater pearls, creating a refined monochromatic contrast. The brooch can be styled in any orientation, dressed up or down against dark fabrics or brighter tones - its bold scale resting lightly on the garment.
