Tania has many years experience in teaching adult education running classes at West Dean, Ditchling Museum of Art & Craft and CityLit. She has also taught at university level including a development project at the University of the Creative Arts and an exploration of leather at the Royal College of Art.


PRIVATE TUITION

Are you looking to explore new materials to make jewellery? I regularly teach individuals and small groups, from complete novices to jewellers. I tailor each session to meet your needs whether it be a fun few hours making a cuff or working on design development.

DESIGN AND MAKE LEATHER EARRINGS

A fun introduction on how to make earrings from coloured and foiled leather using a range of simple but effective decorative technqiues. Whether you're a complete jewellery novice, or wanting to experiment with a new material, this fascinating one-day course is the ideal introduction to working with this beautiful versatile material.

Basic skills covered include cutting, edging, gluing, adding earrings fixings (post, hoop and clip-on), hole punching.

You will discover that leather earrings are lightweight and comfortable no matter how large they are!

MAKE AN ELEGANT LEATHER CUFF

Learn to make a striking leather cuff from high quality leather in a day. The cuff is woven with foiled leather to create an elegant design. Whether you're a complete jewellery novice, or wanting to experiment with a new material, this fascinating one-day course is the ideal introduction to working with vegetable tanned and foiled leather.

Basic skills covered include cutting, edging, gluing, hole punching, adding cuff fixings.

You will be able to use either gold or silver foiled leather and add your own signature touches.
