FESTIVAL NECKLACE - RED & GOLD
FESTIVAL NECKLACE - RED & GOLD
A celebration of modernism.
The Festival Necklace is a modernist leather necklace, originally created by Tania as part of a jewellery collection for the Royal Festival Hall in London.
The striking geometry of the piece is inspired by the architectural arrangement of auditorium boxes within this iconic 1950s landmark. Hand cut with precision by Tania, a staggered sequence is shaped into the leather and the edges finished in gold. Whilst the gold edging with lacquer-red leather echo the warm tones of the building’s interior.
It is on the body that this piece comes to life - the staggered sequence shifting to a single dashed line as it curves around the neck.
At once bold and understated, this piece is featherlight and effortlessly wearable - with a discrete magnetic clasp that does not detract from the graphic line of gold dashes.
